Parties

Friday, December 29 - Square Dance
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee-ha! We polished up our boots and kicked off the Antiphony party scene with a hollerin' hoedown and SQUARE DANCE. It is the ultimate call and response. Many came dressed in their western duds and showed off their fancy foot work as we responded to the caller's cues and danced. (sponsored by the M. Christopher White School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University)

Saturday, December 30 -AnTUBEony - The Antiphony Film Festival
After Kate Campbell's concert concluded, we ran up to our bedrooms, put on our PJs and came back down for "AnTUBEony". We celebrated the creative ways film brings "Call and Response" to life. We showed our winning student's short film submission, and scanned YouTube for priceless classics (Evolution of Dance, anyone?). We took in some other creative approaches, too. Movie snacks were provided, too- and a video iPod for the winning film was awarded! (sponsored by the James and Carolyn McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University)

Sunday, December 31 - New Year's Eve Gala
We toasted in the New Year in our best attire. We enjoyed a formal dinner and danced until the New Year. We celebrated all the new things 2007 will bring!

Monday, January 1 - Recess!
As we recess back to our student lives and the work-a-day world, one last party sent us on our way. Good ol' recess lifted our spirits in elementary school, and did it again at the ANTIPHONY PLAYGROUND. Silliness, games and good times abounded everywhere. We bounced on the moon bounce, jousted our friends on the giant joust, jumped rope, rode big wheels, and competed on the 4-way grinder. And snacks of course -- kool-aid and ice cream, who could ask for anything more? (sponsored by various Cooperative Baptist Fellowship state/regional networks)
